Inexpensive light weight C6 race hood
Just thought I would show you guys what we did for an inexpensive
racing hood for a C6. This is pin on hood for a track car.
We used a 2011 Camaro racing hood and cut it down to C6 size.
It was remarkably similar. The raised cowl section is about 1" higher than stock C6. I would say weight is about 10#.
We will use this in club racing applications, if we ever run a Rolex race we will have to put the stock type hood back on.
In the pics the hood is sitting up on the pins as the holes were not drilled yet.
