Default Driveline whine right after shifing only

Hey guys. Wonding if anyone can diagnose this whine I'm getting. I tried searching for similar posts but couldn't find an exact match.

Car is a C5Z. I only hear the while for a couple of seconds after I upshift and accelerate. I hear almost like a supercharger whine and for the first 2 seconds of the next gear and then it goes away. Almost like a vibration as you pass though a resonant frequency.

I only seem to hear it on light accelerations and not hard accerations (driving the car on the street).

Sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks,

Mike

A whine like that started on my C6Z about a month ago. Several people in the C6 forums are reporting similar noises when shifting. Mine is intermittent so doesn't happen with every shift. Some of the other people report if they turn off their AC the noise goes away. Have no idea what that has to do with the drive train.

I notice it in 2nd, 3rd and 4th when I short shift and get on the gas. Don' t notice it in 1st or 5th or 6th. Its when im torqin out of too high gear if that makes sense.

Maybe its the syncros? I had a couple mis shifts at RA in June.

Well with the weather here in SC the AC is always on. I'll try it out tonight without the AC to see if that has anything to do with this noise I'm hearing.
