Default Picture from Miller Motorsports Park

Since we are putting up pics, thought I would put up one from Miller this past weekend - might just have to be my new desktop;

The track is great - we ran the full 4.5 mile, and there are so many turns it took me several sessions just to not feel lost in the infield. It is a very technical track in my opinion. I think I ran a 3:32 or so (just based on my video, I didn't have any data acquistion onboard). I'm a novice so that probably is not a fast time, but I started to feel pretty good in the car and pushed it probably more than I ever have before. I only got to do one of the two days of the event, but I had a great time.

I KNEW you would ask me that! While at the track I was talking to a local guy about Road America and Miller - he said he thought Miller was a very technical track and after my sessions I would have to agree. With my limited experience I would have to say Miller with all its turns is more technical than RA, but I am probably slightly leaning towards RA being my fave of the two. It is likely that some of that is due to my many personal connections to that part of the midwest.

I had a blast trying to think of certain corners at Miller in reference to corners at RA. There are two corners at Miller that are like the Kink, and there is one (at least) that is like the Carousel - not quite as long, but very fun to pick a nice line right around the middle of the curve and hold a constant throttle. And there is a very cool "corkscrew" there as well - now that I think about it, here is a pic of that section - it truly is a GREAT track!

Nice pics! Too bad you could not make it. I planned on walking around and taking pics of the facilities and track but was so busy I did not get a single shot!

Very nice pictures Everett. I would be happy to drive your car for you at Watkins Glen, VIR, NJMP or just to go pick up some milk at the grocery store...

Thanks Steve! I may just have to take you up on that, but Mike told me not to bother going to VIR, he said I would not like it that much. It was your awesome picture and statement about your new desktop that prompted me to post! Hope all is well.

Everett,

Mainly I just love looking at shots of your car, regardless of what track you're on!

Y'all have a good one,
Mike

Everett, that's one great looking car on the track. I loved the track, it was a little overwhelming the first couple of sessions for me.

Here's a picture of me in the Attitudes (a turn designed with the corkscrew at Laguna Seca in mind).

Your car looks great and I recall saying that to myself while we were on track - too bad we did not get a chance to meet each other while we were there.
