This is a disturbing trend. NASA Mid South did confirm that the event is still on this year Oct 1 & 2.
2012 who knows

You should plan to do the NASA Mid South Event there in October, might be your last chance to run it.

I'll be there in October running with MidSouth. But I wasn't expecting that to be my last time ever there.

At the same time a 150 million dollar, 1.25 mile oval track, to seat 80,000-100,000 fans, is being built in Branson, MO. They are planning on running NASCAR events.

Do any of you guys remember when the Nashville Speedway was down on Nolensville Road at the fairgrounds? Man, that was a long time ago, '60's & 70's.

That's when Nashville ran Nascar out of town. I think that has alot to do with why Nashville couldn't get a Nascar race now... and the fact that Nascar is trying to stretch out more across the U.S. and they need another race in the Southeast like a dog needs a bicycle.

Yep, when I was there they had chariot races. In fact, I saw Ben Hur run his rookie race there!

It's still there. Fighting to stay. People like to move in near race tracks "and then" bitch about the noise.
