At the same time a 150 million dollar, 1.25 mile oval track, to seat 80,000-100,000 fans, is being built in Branson, MO. They are planning on running NASCAR events.

Do any of you guys remember when the Nashville Speedway was down on Nolensville Road at the fairgrounds? Man, that was a long time ago, '60's & 70's.

That's when Nashville ran Nascar out of town. I think that has alot to do with why Nashville couldn't get a Nascar race now... and the fact that Nascar is trying to stretch out more across the U.S. and they need another race in the Southeast like a dog needs a bicycle.
