Default Toe and Chamber rods recommendations

Any advice regarding Heim ended Toe and Camber rods for C4?

I am looking at a fellow named Banski’s site, and he made some that look nice.

Price wise I don’t think I could buy the parts and do it much cheaper?

I made a thread with some info on those but there was little interest so I didn't do any follow up fabrication pix.

I remember looking at that thread, a while back.

But yes, what you had pictured is almost exactly what I had planned.

The Heim's I priced are permanently lubricated Teflon types and add the boots, and good steel rods and I came up with $500.00 in parts alone.

The Banski unit have a real nice locking device as well.

About a $300 added cost, is a bit but if it's apples to apples it may be worth it. BUT.... HEY!! everything's negotiable!!

Hopefully somebody with them will speak up.

I searched, but this forum's engine is a yugo when it comes to searching.

Didn't Brian Cunningham use something else because the omega clamps were hitting his coilovers. I'm sure he has a post with a picture in c4 tech.

Maybe I just asked him and he immediately went off line ... of course hijacking his Joke thread was a little overbearing?

Screw it I'm going to by the set.....

He was having an issue with the omega clamp hitting the coil but he was using an old set of spacers that put the link body right in the center of the 1.7 inch width of the stock trailing arm.

The Banski product now has offset spacers so the trailing arms can be biased towards the inside of the car for those who want wider wheels and tires or they can be biased towards the outside if you need more clearance around coilovers. The offset is approximately 1/4".

I have them on my 96, love em' been on for over 2 years now. I have the camber rods only, not the toe rods. Thats what I was having issues with (stock camber rods just didn't work for me) So if your looking for a "user" in a "autocross / track" situation, You found one. I would recommend them. for Banski's products!

Seems you posted a picture of your rear suspension?

Well.... ??? Old people get impatient and forgetful??? .. or something like that.

Thanks for the info .

The New Hampshire parts cost more than the others but I think they are worth the extra, with boots and all.

We will be fiddling with this part of the car more than anything else and it's a teaching tool as much as anything ... [ 16 year old Wanna Be Racer being educated....]

Hmmmmm.. I wonder if I can deduct this stuff???

But thanks for the pictorials. Pict. = 1K words.

Rain missed for the most part, a little shower close to the Interstate at lunch. During my last session with my student we experienced Road Atlanta weather - dry from track out at turn 12 all the way to turn 9, rain from turn 9 to 12. Wasn't much, just enough to get the windshield wet.

I only have 7 points left to play with and going to this kind of set up, I might as well tune the motor and chassis up to TTS hp/wt classing and forget points. Its all a tradeoff in time trials.

What class are you building to ST2 or ST1?
