Looks really good Dennis... I'm jealous! Before long, I'm going to be the only car in ST2 with no aero. My money tree isn't growing as good as some of you guys.

I'm planning on having my aero stuff done for RA also, but if not then I'll be aeroless with you.

I was going to shave it completely, but reminded myself that there was no need to get into body work and painting on a track car. On my old Z06 I shaved the antenna and side markers. Maybe I'll do it over the winter for the heck of it

I'm glad somebody started to fabricate real aero parts for the C5Z. I like the designs you created. Will you be producing canards as well for added downforce?

?
These are off-the-shelf parts that ACP has been making for the past 8 or 9 years. Standard on most TTS and up C5s.

I was having some issues getting the hood to fit properly, the head light covers are molded in with the hood. I think this is a great idea, however they just would not lay down like they were supposed too. I was working on making a bracket for a dzus fastener for each one in the corner but I just never was happy with that option. I wanted to try a heat gun to see what would happen, so I gave ACP a call today and they said that should bring them into position. So I put the heat gun to it and got it just hot enough where I could smell the fiberglass a little bit but no smoke, I was then able to hold it down into place. I then put a little weighted box on each one to hold them just slightly lower than ideal and let them cool off and it worked out great. I may have to tweek a little more on the final fit before paint, but I am very happy this worked.

Before pictures;

You can really see how high they were in this picture, the rest of the hood fits very good...

Nice work... Aftermarket C5 hoods are notoriously hard to get to fit like stock since there are so many curves. Looks like the rest fit very well other than the healight covers, but it looks like you got it close to perfect.

You experimenting taping out a different color for the center part of the hood/bumper?

I think he is planning to use whatever spraycans he has left in his shop to distract you on track.
