Where do you mount your GO PRO ?
lookin for the best place for my gopro. had it on the upper left outer part of my windshield where it didnt obstruct any view, and the results are decent. could put it over my shoulder on the back window (FRC), or on the roof possibly.
Looking for the best vids, and would prefer it didnt have to be outside because of the noise, but like I said, the best vis is what im after.

Drifting
Velcro'd on the dash directly in front of me. It shows the hud info in your movie. You can barely even see the camera while your driving since the top of the steering wheel is between you and it.

Passenger grab-bar above the glove box on the dash. No permanent mods to the car needed and can be easily teathered. Nice view as if you were the passenger; zero chance of becoming a projectile and hitting driver.
Consider the organizations whose events you plan to chose. Several I've run with are very conservative. They don't want any mounting on the outside of the car nor adhesive mounting used anywhere. The grab-bar works really well for all events I've attended.

Everywhere. Wanna see how you are managing the right side of the car...mount it on the front-bottom of the door. You will also get an idea of how much movement rubber has on the wheel.
On the front part of the hood is good, your buddies hate seeing that thing hunt them down.
Stick it to your helmet or windshield facing you...see what your head/eyes are doing.
Stick it under the car, see your suspension at work.

A little off subject, but how do you guys keep wind noise down? I recently did a TT with my CTS-V and the wind noise was horrendous. I had it mounted on the upper right fender, and the side of the left fender just in front and below the mirror. The images were great, but the wind noise sucked. I was using the closed back on the camera since it said if you exceed 100 mph, to use that one.
Don't ridicule me too much :P I hadn't been on track in about 2 years.

A buddy made me a small bracket that we mounted under the passenger side sun visor retainer and it works great. Wind noise is not bad under 150 MPH and the view is good and unrestricted.

I also have mine mounted to the harness bar. Next time I will try an external mic to cut down on the wind noise...

suction cup rear deck - to be able to see as much of what the driver was doing, vs the car, as possible.
Filmed on a closed course. Some people just didn't get the course directions though, and were going the wrong way.... lol
