Default ForgeLine Seal plate, easy wheel repair for racers..

For those of us using a three piece wheel on our race cars and have had that brush with the wall, barrier, or other car know what it is like to repair wheels at the track.

Well ForgeLine is giving you an option now to make wheel repairs at the track much quicker by introducing their new seal plate option for 18" competition series of wheels.

I know from changing wheels at the track with our own World Challenge and Grand Am Corvette's this would have saved me time when I have had to put a new lip on a wheel track side.

Thats a very cool idea! It saves time and is less messy than having silicone ooze out of the seal.

That's a good idea... nothing worse than putting one of my CCWs all back together only to find a slow leak due to a bad silicone job.

great Idea I have a set of 18" WC3R's that I am going to take apart to recondition and put a wider barrel on the front. Would these be a good way to reassemble so they would be in place or would they only used once and saved for the trackside quick repair?

If you are retro fitting the wheels you do need longer hardware bolts to do so, and they do sell it as a kit like that.

I believe the seals are re-useable and they sell replacement gaskets when they wear out or become damaged as well.

MSRP is roughly $165 for the complete kit with Titanium hardware per wheel.

Seal plate is a great idea and makes wheel repair a snap as shown by my GT3 Cup 3 piece BBS wheel below. When I damage a wheel for some reason I just change out the damage parts, replace the rubber O-ring and good to go without having to wait for sealant to dry. BBS' repair kit cost about $45 per wheel which include all the bolts and rubber seals without the sandwich ring
