OK, Asphalt is not complete. They are patching lots of places.
Still Lots of tire stacks to build for tire walls.
Bridge isn't done.
Needs top coat of pavement.

I'm guessing 60-40 chance of it being ready, it will be kinda like the first time going to NCCAR if it is open for the event.

Guess I'll be getting in touch with the HOD folks this week.

Thanks for the update...sounds less promising than the FB posts, but..even if it takes longer, be great to have another track local

A couple other C4 guys met up for breakfast for the sole reason of stacking tires. We were able to tag along with the BMW group.
After the track tour my step-son stayed with the other two guys to stack tires. I think they got 5 clusters done.

Its a lot closer to be being able to drive on than the last time I was out, but still a lot of equipment out there. The gaurdrails all around remind me of Barber. Its just got a long way to go. Remember the facebook posts are to encourage folks to buy memberships.

Looks to me like it'll all depend on the weather between now and the end of March. I'm committed to being in Atlanta then so I sure hope they get it open.

This fall will be something like 3 years I've been waiting. Don't have the scratch for a membership so I'm looking to instruct for as many groups as I can work in. Tracks unlimited is out there in May, if the HOD event doesn't go on thet will be my next opportunity.

If no track day and you're here, we can have a group drive into the mountains

Got around to sending my email to Dave. Hope to hear something soon.

Putting the engine together before next week so I can drop it off and get it in the car by March 24.

Glad you are OK and had the track ins! From the new video, the track will be run counter clockwise? Are there any other tracks that do that? I think VIR would be fun that way if you didn't get killed at Oak Tree lol.

Yep, it was designed to be run counter-clockwise only.
So far TGPR is the only other counter clockwise track I've been on.

Jefferson circuit at Summit Point can be run in both directions.

Chin Motorsports was planning on 14-15 April, they've moved their dates two weeks to 28-29 April.

Yea, I'm looking to see if I can get the day off for the Friday at Roebling before the NASA-SE event. That will at least give me a day to shake out the car with the new engine before I have to run Time Trials that weekend.
