Rear view mirrors
I am planning on upgrading the inside rear view mirror on my C4 track car for safety reasons. What have you all used and what are you most comfortable with? 14" convex, 17" convex, wink 4 or 5 panel, or something else. I do not have a full cage, so I will have to mount (glue) to the windshield, or mount from the framing above the windshield. All suggestions or ideas are welcome.

Go with the convex type, the multi views get a little busy for my taste.
I've got a 17" convex that clamps over the stock mirror. Been on for four years and works fine.

Best mirror I've ever seen. Very wide field of vision and it's not as distorted as the Longacre. Cheap too.

Like most stuff on the internet...be wary of opinions...but
In my opinion, the convex mirrors suck, as you lose depth perception with them. Extremely difficult to judge the speed & distance of any following/overtaking vehicles.
I've raced with both convex and Wink-style multi-element mirrors, and will not willingly go on track with a convex one again. Definitely will not race with a convex.

We tried a few different mirrors in our Lemons car. I hated the winkel mirror that a buddy had and the longacre mirror I bought was so curved that I couldn't figure out what was where. I guess it's all personal preference. But imo, the allview is like a regular mirror with a wide angle lense.

Ive been through many and prefer the AllView as well. The one you want if you have a cage is the Allview w/ RAM mount. Mounts to the rollbar via hose clamps.
On my latest racercar, the rollcage tubing was made extra close to the roof so the Longacre wouldnt even fit. The RAM mount for the AllView is much thinner especially w/ the hose clamps. Street price is $79
