Default Any ideas on oil keeping oil cooler...

I have a supercharged C6 Grandsport. I have a vented hood. I have a tough time keeping my temps down at the track... I ran 5w40 amsoil.

oil temps climbed to 275 etc and I have to back off... coolant temps around 210.

I was thinking of running thinker oil at the track...10w40 so at higher temps the oil won't thin out as much....

The intercooler for the supercharger blocks alot of the airflow.....

Any idea's

Take a look at our oil cooler, it would be plug and play for your setup. Do a quick search and you should find plenty of helpful info on it.
Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.

Actually a 5W-40 and 10W-40 will be the same at higher temps. Going to a thicker oil will not solve your issues, as in some cases I have seen thicker oil raise temps. An engine designed for a 30wt oil using a 40 or 50 wt will see increased friction and heat from the thicker oil.
