Default Running 315s front and rear on stock sway bars

I am heading to Homestead this weekend and I just put on some 315s fron and rear on stock 18s all around. With the stock bars, am I asking for trouble?

a c5z? no you should be fine. it will follow any grooves in the road more readily but you shouldnt feel that once on track. take a few warm up laps. the car will no longer have the understeer of the stock set up. should feel more neutral but initially could be construed as more tail happy. what tires?

You don't mention what car you put these on. IF you run with tc/ah on or maybe even comp. mode you could have issues with those systems.

If you turn all off, should be ok, fronts may rub if you are lowered a lot.

Good stuff. Sorry I didn't provide much color. It's a c5z and it is a 4x4. Not even lowered to the stock bolts yet.

I run all off or comp mode depending on conditions.

Comp mode tends to burn up rear's. Bring an extra set.

That is odd to hear. After 250 laps at Sebring since September with comp mode on my rear brakes and tires are fine. I rarely see it step in and when it has I'm generally glad to see it.

That said, I run with it off if there is banking and I do not notice much of a difference.

I am pushing relatively hard and I put up 2:36s at Sebring with a bone stock 02 on fire hawk wide ovals in the summer heat. I fully expect to drop those times significantly as I get used to the r-comp.

It's very dependent on how the driver drives, you are probably better than most who use comp mode.

Thanks for the advice. Had a blast and actually found the car was almost neutral with a slight touch of oversteer. I actually really like it!

exactly. make sure the rear bar's bushings are well lubed and shim out the brackets with a washer if need be so it doesnt bind. it will feel even better.

Yep, I added Z06 bars when I went to a square 315 setup too. Tracks wonderfully! Well, alot better now with coilovers, but even before it was very neutral. Good video too!

I recently went to 18" square on my C5Z. IIRC, running 1050# front spring and 840# or so rear spring with 3013's full tight on front and loose on rear with adco bars I have noticed the tail a little looser on very familiar tracks. I may need to remove bolt on one side of the stabilizer in rear to get it to hook up better. Takes some getting used to.

Thanks, and glad you liked the video. I want coilovers but I'm making changes one at a time and then seeing the results so I can lear from each change.

Now that I think a little bit harder about it, I was getting a little more wheel spin on acceleration exiting low speed corners then I used to. Do you think that is related to the bigger tires up front?
