Default Is this how slicks look when wearing out?

These are R80 scrubs I bought last fall. I have put 38 sessions on them at VIR, RD ATL, and Daytona. The last 12 have been on the rear as they seem to be losing grip. This is the left rear. Rt rear looks much better.

It is only in this one spot. Is this how slicks wear?

Flip it on the wheel and you'll get another season out of them.

Those tires are done. For safety's sake I would not use them for another session.

Stick A Fork In Them - They Are DONE. Cords showing do not run them again. You did VERY well if you got 38 sessions out of them. Depending on the track, I don't get that many out of new V710's,

From where the wear/cording is appearing you might need more air pressure or more negative camber.

Are these the front or rear tires?

Those are cords, tire is trash, do not run it any more for your safety & others.

38 sessions at +/- 20 minutes a session, that's 13 hours of use. I'd send that tire to Hoosier so they can put it on display in their museum.

You could flop them around on the rim and go for another 20 sessions. The cords will be on the unloaded side. What could go wrong?? I think they give you something like a new car or a case of oil or maybe a new set of tires when they last that long.

That tire doesn't owe you a thing. That's quite awhile for a scrub to last.

This is really true. You sold me wheels last year with some mounted, I thought I would throw them away, but I kept them for a practice and couldn't believe how fast they still were.

I didn't use them for ST2, but I ran a few HPDE's and more practices and after a million heat cycles I was still able to run decent lap times-2:08 at VIR, 1:18 at Roebling and 1:36's at Road Atlanta, I was amazed. I'd like to see what they could do new, and I wish we could use them in ST2 without taking a big penalty, would really cut down on tire expense.

Hmmm... I've always heard that slicks heat cycle out faster, but they last longer during a race before getting greasy. That not the case?

Tim, that's great! Arte had mentioned to me earlier that you were still running them. I think the OP's tire is from the same group that I sold. R100's new give you super human driving powers.

These are the first set I have used of the 12 I bought from you last summer!

These have been on the rear for the past 15 sesssions. I had been rotating them from right to left. I run 1 session at VIR with them on the front and the newer ones on the rear - 5 seconds slower and a lot scarier. It will be retired.

Thanks.
