These are Hawk DTC 70 Front pads. I'm getting ready to do SOW in 2 weeks, I'd like to know if I should run on these pads. Should I have an extra set and change up after 2 runs, or should I not run on these at all. The third pic shows how the pads look through the calipers. What do you guys think?
I would think from the 3rd pic that I have enough pad, but looking at the distance between the pad and the caliper retainer clips, I think I will be hitting the Rotor very soon.

Ok, Do you recommend a pad that's decent on the track and one in which I can drive home on as well? I looked at the HPS Hawks, what do you think? Or should I stick to Track only pad?

I'd run on the pads in the third picture, but since you'll be changing the others, change all of them. The Hawk pads should be good for what you need.

If you're used to running DTC70s, you will overheat and chunk HP+ pads in one hard session. In addition, they squeal like a schoolbus on the street.
Track pads on the track, street pads on the street.

I don't believe I'm that good a driver yet. My track times are 3 seconds below the "best" c6z corvette drivers.

I didn't care for HP+ myself as they got toasted. However, it might be an option if your not a braking hard into a corner. If your used to DCT 70's, you're probably going to be disappointed.
It was interesting that Spring Mountain uses HPS pads as they are easy on rotors and easier to use when they are teaching braking for balance into the apex.
I really like Carbotech pads. Just expensive, but easy on the rotors compared to the Hawks I've run.

Carbotech XP10 front and XP8 rear. No problem driving to and from the track. I will be happy to help you.

Used to run HP+ years ago, and they neither held up well, nor gave the braking I wanted.
Running Carbotech XP10/XP8... one piece - both track and street.
Occasional noise on street, usually no noise.
