I got my F1 tickets for Austin the other day. In the packet was a flyer for renting a fanvision device. My question is how well do these work? It's only $69, which makes it the cheapest thing about this race.
My experience with any kind of live streaming or scoring at Petit LeMans has been less than satisfactory as the Cell towers are obviously horribly overloaded.

I won't watch an oval race without someone kind of headset/radio to keep up with what is going on on-track. I sure would want something at a road-coarse.

Yeah, I've got my radio, and have used different live scoring on my iPhone. I think I'll go ahead and rent one. Apparently they use their own radio system so they are not competing for the cell tower signals.

We use FanVisions all the time at NASCAR races. Usd ours today at Martinsville as a matter of fact. We love it for listening to the announcers, replays, drivers, and officials. As well as talking to each other without having to scream.
