Default Pully grease - high temp - got recommendation?

I replaced the two pullies on the a/c belt & now got a squeak on the main belt pullies.

I swear these things are programmed to dry up at 50k miles.

Anyway I examined closely the ones I took off the a/c and it seems very easy to just put some new grease in there, a little plastic cover just pops off.

However a guy on another thread claims the grease is special & regular bearing (wheel bearing) grease will melt out at the high speeds that these pullies spin.

I would like to try greasing these other two pullies, why not?

Anyone can recommend a "special" high speed, high temp grease? Only need an ounce or two, so not one sold by the drum.

Maybe something YOU have actually used on a small high speed pully?

Default Grease?

I recently bought a tube of high temperature synthetic wheel bearing grease to service our club trailer wheel bearings. It is named "Green Grease", available at Advance Auto for about $9. You might give this a try. Let us know what you think. Good luck.

I use the same "green grease" on my trailer wheel bearings. It's synthetic, and has a "drop point" of like 600 deg.F I see no reason why it would not work for the pulley application.
