Brakes Upgrade
What are the best brakes for the buck?
Wilwood W6A-R compete with Spec-37 Rotors, Pads and lines for $2400? Or something else

Safety Car
The hard bars look like a great option for a track only car....but, the floating rotor design would be loud for a car that spends time on the street. I am leaning toward Stop techs for my track/street application

Current wheels, or are you buying new?
Any rules to fit by as far as class, or just going on the street?
You might be fine with pads and lines.

Brake Upgrade
Anthony,
It is a stock C5Z I use it for HPDE-3 about 8 weekends a year. Adding the Glen and Mid-Ohio this year was told both are hard on brakes. I am using DTC-70 Front and DTC 60 Rear.
Going to VIR in Feb for Instructor Course
I have 2 sets of wheels speedline 18x10.5 all around and CCW's, both clear the ST-60 6 piston Stop-tec BBK.
Haven't decided if I am going to a class.

I went with brembos bbk and can't be happier. Used to have to watch the pin bolts closely and bleed them at lunch when at mid o.... Now I just show and run. Brakes are solid for as many laps as I can handle. I think any BBk is a good idea for mid Ohio. Missing the back straight is not much fun.

Burning Brakes
The AP floating rotor design is pretty noisy for street use. They sort of give of a 'clink, clink' sound at low speed. Not a big deal but really depends on your tolerance for noise. The good thing is the Harbar T1 kit accepts stock rotors - so use stock for street and the AP rotors for track.

All,
Just wanted to say thanks everyone for the information. I went with the W6A-R wilwood setup. It is a bolt on BBK and since I am running 10.5x18 up front and the wheels I have will clear the BBK. I also have the LG Spindel ducts with DRM Brake Ducts for cooling.
Again thanks for the advise. Ron
