Default Continental series take offs

Anyone have any experience running the Continental GT-1 slicks? How do they compare to R6's or A6's as far as grip, longevity, fall off ect...

There's a local team here that said I could get some of his scrubs and take offs after next weekends race, are they worth the effort?

We run take off Conti Rolex GT slicks (305x660x18 F, 325x680x18 R) on our tube frame LS6 Corvette that was built to Grand Am GT prep 2 rules. The compound is harder than the Hoosier 15x10 stock car slicks we run on our GTA car, but the extra two inches allows for similar grip.

Even though these are takeoffs, the tires were pretty consistent for a twenty minute race and did not fall off much at all.

New Rolex GT conti's should be a bit quicker than the new Hoosier dot race radials. I'm thinking 1 to 1.5 seconds on a 2 mile road course.

Continental Series rubber should be very similar to the Hoosier DOT R race rubber.

I think it would be worth your while to give the takeoffs a test.

Hoosier is selling discontinued 2012 NOS (new, old stock) conti's off their website for 165 each. We just ordered a set and will use at Sebring Feb 9-10.
