Default Any DRM Bilstein Owners? C5 or C6

Hey guys, ive been doing more and more hpde's so I felt it was time to replace my tired shocks. After reading many good things I went with DRM's Bilstein shocks. I was wondering if any of you here have used these in hpde and what you think about them. My current setup will be C5Z06 springs, C6Z06 sway bars and DRM Bilstein shocks with poly bushings. The car is a 2002 C5 coupe and aslo has a street/track alignment on Michelin SS/PS2 rubber. Track rubber coming soon.

I had them for a few events. Didn't feel too different from my stock z51 shocks in the street, but a bit better on the road course. If your butt isn't tuned well, you may not notice anything as the difference is subtle. Probably worth 0.5-1 sec per lap depending on track and driving style, but that's just a guess.

Ok. Main reason I ordered them was to help keep the planted. The rear gets unsettled if I hit a bump on a turn or corner. Do you feel that they helped in that area? Thanks for your insight.

Also my shocks are tired so I may feel a bigger difference then most I guess.

I definitely felt the car more planted on bumpy corners. That's where I suspect mos if your track gains will be realized.

I'm running the DRM Bilsteins on an 08 Z06 with Pfadt JOC sway bars and negative 2.75 front/2.0 rears with NT05's. The DRMs are very good and the back end stays planted but you have to watch your rear tire pressures. I run about three pounds less (hot) on the rear and they hook up really well. That being said I thought the JOC shocks were really good and I wish I hadn't taken them off (long story).

I love my Bilsteins. Probably one of the best track/ street mods I've done for the car.

So you prefer the JOC's DRM?

I run Bilstein Sport shocks on my C6 Z51 at Texas World Speedway. I changed my shocks before my first HPDE event so I can't compare them to stock, but my instructors have commented on how sorted the car feels. I have to be deliberately heavy on my throttle inputs to upset the car...

I'm sure your DRM valved shocks will be even better. Excellent choice...
