Default Looks like we have a new MOVED polica action going on ... LOL

All of a sudden all these threads are moved ... seems silly and I notice some of them are vendors ... wonder who the main mover is

I actually suggested it, mainly because of the huge single parts thread. It was hard to keep up with what was for sale, was it sold, who was selling....etc... Mostly because people would quote entire posts. So you can blame it on me if you don't approve.

To me if it pertains to specific stuff for road racing and auto crossing I don't see why it has to be moved. I sure do not want to have to search the for sale stuff to find out about a new product, seems counter intuitive

Its about time. The entire forum has been a PITA to browse with vendor FS adds every 2nd thread, repeated across multiple sections. I have no issue with vendors selling goods but when it saturates the board its just a PITA. Most other car forums I'm on have dedicated vendor sections which I think is better. Want to buy something from a vendor... look in one spot and its all there. A positive move IMO.

My 2 cents - seperate private from vendor sales for easier viewing. There are times I want to buy something used, and times I want to buy something new. Makes browsing easier and is cleaner.

I would have to disagree on the single vendor thing. A lot of the products I have seen have lead to a lot of questions I would never have known to ask. Maybe to veteran racers it may be annoying but a vendor ad once or twice a day is not a hassle to me if its a new product or new deal.

Only thing I dont like is a verndor ad that says "special one week price" and op was back in 2009 and has 176 replies all stating "is the deal still available?"

FS stuff that is relevant to this section should be in this section. I can not believe that anyone is offended or aggravated with FS stuff in the forum or that it distracts them. You'd really have some issues on a track!

Often while looking at the forum I see FS items that spark an interest. Now I would only go to the FS section if I were looking for a particular item.

If I was a vendor I'd be really PO'd and IMO the move was/is a really stupid idea and a disservice.

Hard to believe that one person making a request would have launched this police action ....

Since it seems like some people can't READ- I asked for a classified section based off of the single parts for sale thread. I did NOT ask for the vendors to be moved. So before you stick your foot in your mouth again, you MiGHT want to ask first.

I think this is a positive change for both individual and vendor ads to be moved to a classified section. It's still within the Autocross and Roadracing section and is easily accessible. Discussions within that section can take place as usual and those of us not looking to buy something don't have to scan through 50 topics to find one we are interested in reading or participating in.

Likewise if I want to buy something it should be easier to find in a dedicated section that isn't full of random discussions.

I think it's a WIN WIN!

This is a long overdue change. The sections of the forum were just overloaded with vendor adds. It was getting ridiculous trying to find threads about the car. I quit reading the Z06 section because it was flat out littered with vendor adds. Thanks to the management for cleaning it up.

I am, and thanks. It's tedious to see the same sale threads, sometimes every other post, in every section of the site.
