Default My New Tow Hooks

Being too cheap to spend $200 on tow hooks, I just made my own and I think they came out fine. Besides being cheaper, they are stronger and don't require removing the bumper to install the front hooks. Instead of relying on bolts to tow against, these hooks wrap around the frame which takes the tow load and the bolts are secondary. Total cost of $21 for the set and a few rivetnuts.

Really nice idea to tie in behind the frame rails.

That's very nice, but are you sure you labelled it properly??

Butt...maybe you did. The one below was in a garage just down from me, and every time I walked by the car I tripped and stumbled because the thing was trying to hook my toe!!

So....yours is probably correct!

They should probably all be properly labeled as "Shin Hooks"

Very nice! I would have definitely bought these if they were available when I installed hooks a couple years ago!
