Badass car. Definitely worth another look.

It can be done, it is a good value as a turn key Howe Racing TA2 Camaro starts at about 70K.

Here is their website: http://aviracing.com/

Anybody know anybody who has one of these yet? I was told there were as many as a dozen people with deposits down.

I talked with AVI in detail about their cars several months ago. The base car can be had for the price quoted. Optioned the way I wanted - LS7, full undertray, cool suit, data acquisition and several other items was almost $90K. Still an incredible deal for the quality and features of the car. I would like to also hear from anyone that has a finished car.

I'm also interested and exchanged emails with AVI. I too would like to chat with someone with a finished car.

They want half done, half on delivery. Not unreasonable, but given it's a young company it would be easy to get burned if they filed for bankruptcy.

I am having a similar car built by Bemco Fabrication in Deland, FL. Woody at Bemco can build a similar car for the same or less $.

I've been looking at Bosco's posts on some of the Bemco cars for a while now with interest. Congrats on the new build, would it be possible for you or possibly him to put up a build thread on the new car that they are doing for you?

There is a thread by Bosco out there on the build. I think it called "New Bemco Track Day Car". I was just at the Bemco shop this weekend to get "fitted" for the car. Bosco was there and took some new pics. I would expect that he will update the thread.

At least from what I have seen, when you compare the actual craftsmanship and parts on the TA2 cars from Howe, Mike Cope, etc, I really can't see paying more for this than what those are going for.

Yea, been down that road before. Not happening without DUNS and some serious history. These deposits have a way of paying the bills instead of building a car.

That was exactly my reservation. Not enough history for my taste. Now if Woody at Bemco can build a car like, they have the chops and rep I'd be comfortable with giving money to.

Nice Car... but I wouldn't be the first (or the tenth for that matter).. they do need a little history, but nobody wants to be the first to buy in.. Wish them luck... Looks like a beast!

Good luck reaching that fire extinguisher! I sure hope it has a system, though I can't imagine it doesn't. IMO he needs to rethink his target audience because I had a helluva time getting in clean laps in a stock C5Z on street tires. You'd never be able to wring this thing out on a track day with all the slow asses who think they're advanced. Furthermore, I don't know why they selected Matt Farah to do the talking to track people. I've always gotten a douchey impression of the guy.
