Default Race tire question

Would you run 305/650/18s on a square set-up with 18x10.5 wheels on a C5 or C6?

I thought you had to stay within a certain percentage of the front/rear overall diameter OEM ratio or else the car goes nuts?

Or not. Never had an issue running square (incl with short tires) in an '01.

Those tires are little wide for the wheels, but obviously things get expensive in a hurry when you go with wider wheels.

I agree no problems square. But we run 315's on 10" wheels in T1. It is certainly not ideal but in T1 the fastest combo was 315 square on 18x10 and 18x11 wheels. A couple guys felt 295x315 was best. I ran both and could not tell the difference. My reason for going square and 315 was to only have to stock one tire size. It is a huge advantage when you got so many sets of wheels.

I've been running 305/660/18 square or 305/660-18 and 305/685-18 staggered on my C6-Z06 on (4) C5 Z rears. It's worked good so far. You all know for sure it's not an issue to roll with 650s square on the Z? That's basically like running front diameters all the way around.

I have been running that size on all 4 corners for almost 2 years now on my C5Z06. Usually at about 140, the dic reminds me that I forgot to turn off the tc. Never an issue in competition mode, even at 180mph
