results can be found here..

Looks like the new SCCA T-1 and T-2 rules packages are working.. Strong fields in both classes..

That looks like it will be some good racing at the front. Def post that video after the race.

What did they change in T-1 and T-2?

Got beaten by a wild mustang both days.. On saturday got forced into the grass during a pass attempt for the lead and filled the radiator screen with grass and stuff and overheated.

On saturday had a flat tire on lap 12..

In T-2 matt pullano won with his C5 both days..

Was watching that from the "rocks" on the inside of T1. #27 Mustang pulled a real "dick move" on you there...basically just ran you off the inside before the turn. GCR requires overtaken driver to leave "racing room", right ?

Thats the idea.. He claims i was already two wheels in the grass...

Basically he left a lane open, I took it, then he pinched me off claiming it was his normal line... I went two wheels into the grass to avoid the contact after he moved on me...

Oh well, lessen learned. Even after all of these years...

That was George Winkler and one of his 2 Boss 302's. So it won't hurt so bad if you put one of his in the gravel trap next time Joe.

I think he put me off track and into a tire barrier at Mid-O in 2011.

I could be wrong about who it is. What color is his car? What class is he racing?

At the NASA nationals I was running in one of the Q races and he started in a wave ahead of me or I was lapping a white Mustang that was a class above ST2. Going down into Thunder Valley I lined up outside of him to get ready for what I thought would be an uneventful pass on an out-of-class car and he suddenly veered left to block my set-up. It had been raining and when I stuck two tires off onto the grass in the brake zone I got pulled off the track and couldn't quite stop the car before the tire barrier. It sucked as I finished nearly last in the Q race.

He owns a bit of land and an auto repair shop in Gaithersburg MD. He has enough $$$ to let him be a bit frisky racing.

In my limited W2W experiance dont at least 50% of the faster Mustangs and 50% of the slow Mustangs cut down on Corvettes. That is the way it has been for me.

George races NASA Mid Atlantic a lot in ST2 or ST1 if the field is better.

Ive raced him twice this year once at VIR where he started 2nd and I was 3rd but I beat him on the start so he was unable to track me down.

Then two weeks ago at SP I started 1st and he was 2nd and once again I beat him on the start but I took a rookie line into turn 1 and he passed me then he legally blocked me the whole way around the track until we got onto the main straight where he eased over but didnt cut me down. Unfortunitly my throttle body plug came loose three quarters of the way through the race otherwise I had him buried.

He certainly has a rep for being agressive however so far he has been fine with me, maybe because I still have an "R" on the side of my car.

Other Mustang drivers however are another story.

Some good news... The C6 felt a bit sluggish on the start of the sunday race... I figured it was me being old and slow and not so quick off the marks... Just did our normal post race dyno pulls and discoverd we was off about 60 or 70 hp... Well turns out we had a broken plug wire.

Going to pocono this weekend to try it out and see if feeling better!!!
