Mileage Warranty on Michelin Pilot Super Sports
Getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, and ran across the mileage warranty on Michelin's web site.
They have a mileage warranty of 30,000 miles, but because of the staggered fitment, the front tires have the 30k, but the rear tires is limited to a 50% reduction, or 15k miles (still great for a track car).
I read the disclaimer very carefully, and the warranty is void if the car is used for racing or "off road" use.
My questions:
Is the warranty valid for HPDE use?
Has anybody filed a warranty, and were there any issues?
Are HPDE events considered to be "off road" use?
Since my Z06 is more than 90% used for track events, I am finding it hard to believe that these tires, considering my track use, would be covered by a mileage warranty.
Can someone enlighten me?
Also, who has the best price? I have checked most of the common sources (Tire Rack, Discount Tire, etc.).
Thanks for any input.

I was just asking for opinions, and did not say that I planned to "stiff" anyone.
In fact, if you had read my post more closely, you would see:
"Since my Z06 is more than 90% used for track events, I am finding it hard to believe that these tires, considering my track use, would be covered by a mileage warranty".
Have a great day.

1. 30 day customer satisfaction, no questions asked.
2. Materials and workmanship.
3. Road hazard.
4. Mileage provision.
Each of these provisions has specific terms and conditions in which warranty coverage applies.

From personal experience, no they won't. Though they did allow the purchase of a new set at half price.

I expect the tires to perform very well, and at this point the tire life warranty is not an issue.
