Default Adjusting Brake Booster

Can the rod that pushes the master cylinder be adjusted to take travel out of the pedal?

(I had a Mustang that did, and it was a common AutoX Tracking tweak.)

And to add another question, what happens if you eliminate the booster altogether? Rock solid pedal?

If you eliminate the booster you will need to modify the brake pedal/mount to increase the leverage otherwise it will be really hard to actuate the brakes.
