Default Race Video - Laguna Seca w/CFRA

Here's my in-car video of our race at LSR on May 20, 2013.
I started 4th and advanced to 2nd but in the end finish 3rd.
There are 5 classes on the grid from GT1 to GT5, I'm in GT1.

Man that is some good stuff right there. Thanks for sharing. Good driving too!

When you do a split screen like that you might want to mute the audio on one of the videos. It was out of sync just enough to sound like someone was right on you all the time. Still great to watch and hear though.

Yeah it was my first time with the split video screen. I thought about re-doing it but it takes along time to render so I opted not to do it.
The funny thing is... I wasn't sure if anyone would really notice
Lesson learned :D

Looking good Rich! Thanks for the vid. Does your car have a cage? You should come race with us in NASA.

Hey Bill,
No it doesn't have a full cage. It's a DRM 4 point rollbar (DRM actually calls it a chassis stiffener) but it is welded. Besides it still has full interior so it really hasn't crossed over to full on race car.

Hope you can make it to one our events sometime.

I have same thing, that along with the OEM built in roll bar is plenty strong I call it my heavy duty shoulder belts mount Your engine sounds like it has an excellent tune, nice driving

Thx
The engine is tuned to run on 91 octane.
Max timing 18 degrees
A/F 10.8 to 11.2
Rev limiter set 6600

Our next event is June 3rd once again at Laguna Seca. Only that event will be a 92db day as oppose to 105db.
Oh well back to short shifting pass the sound booth

Wow! I think stock the max timing is like 28 degrees and that is fricken lean, stock the computer pretty much keeps it at 12 to 1

boy i need to bone up on this stuff. I am old school I like 13 to 1 with 95 octane ( Zylene) and 30 degrees timing with 6800 rev limiter

go figure

No, that's pig rich. He must be supercharged. Stock is not commanded 12:1, it's commanded a bit richer than that IIRC but varies based on RPM. Since mine's stock, I took a leap of faith and PE raped it commanding 12.5-12.7 in hopes of getting no leaner than 12.7-13.0 (timing yet untouched, looks pretty damn close to where it needs to be in stock form) . Some day I'll install my spare wideband.

It's so slight it doesn't detract from the video at all. Just something I picked up on because I did a couple of pic-n-pic videos myself and could never get them perfect so I muted one. That probably makes me the only person that would notice.

It was great driving and very entertaining. I shared it on my FB.
