305/35/18 on the front of a base C6?
I have CCW wheels. 10” in front and 11” in the rear.
I currently run Toyo R888s with 295/30/18 in front and 305/35/18 in the rear with no problems. I’d like to run a square setup so I can move tires around.
I’m hoping to run the Toyo 305/35 in the front as well as the rear. I’m not worried about the width as I’ve read numerous threads of people running R6 315s in the front with no problems which are about the same width. However, I’m worried about the height. It’s about .7” taller than the 315/30/18 or 1.2” taller than the 295/30/18 I have on there now.
I’m on stock Z51 suspension. I can’t go to R6s due to classing restrictions. Not worried about traction control. I run approx -3 degrees of camber in the front.
I talked with John at CCW and he’s never heard of anyone (stupid enough) to try this.
Worth a shot or will the tires blow off the fenders at compression?
