Default update from RA?

I stopped by RA sat 6/29 to watch the cars go round and to give the gf a couple parade laps... she really liked it..

While there saw a couple things..

Saw a C6 z and was curious if driver/passenger was ok? I did not see him or her near car/trailer

And curious if the driver and passenger from the blu vette were ok? I saw them walking around, but just double checking

And I know the bmw driver was ok..

rough saturday

As far as I know both the people in the ZR1 were ok. It was a really hard hit, right after Turn 9. From what people have told me he was just carrying too much speed and got out into the marbles. Bad news is he hit both the left and right side walls, and pretty much all 4 corners of the car. You saw the result....it wasn't pretty.

Me and gf were on bridge when it happened... looked real real bad.. glad to see them get out of car on their own. Also glad to know they are doing ok.

Northwoods Shelby Club, I was there with my C6Z. It was a very good event. Great Weather on Sunday and not too many cars on the track.

One of my NASA students had a ZR1, you cannot believe how quickly they build speed off T7.

Hell, if I was in the right seat of one of those things, I would turn a lump of coal to a diamond if it was stuffed up my azz with the pressure my butt cheeks would exert on it as we passed T9 heading for 10A.

I remember David Lenoard had a student once with a "souped up" ZR1 at RA and he was telling the guy to go faster.

He was smiling from ear to ear when they got to the paddock!

From what I read as told by someone that works for Chin, driver was experienced, and made a mistake around T9 (did not go into details to what said mistake was). Both driver and passenger are indeed ok.

Here are 2 pics I was sent of the car. Sad sad sight...

The zr1 was flying round the track. And the mclaren was really doing it. And the ford gt was amazing to watch.

All in the advanced groups. I could not imagine me or any other novice in those cars. Or how an instructor could be a passenger in them.

Good to hear they are ok.. thanks.. and hard to see in those pics, but front frame rails are way over and rear end/hatch no longer lines up with roof. Hell the dome light inside broke off and was hanging by wiring only.

Says something about saftey of the car though that they are ok!
