Sigh...

Maybe someone can come up with a "blue dye pack" to mix in for off road application.

I quit using the blue 8 years ago and used only the ATE gold. Other than the color there is no difference that I can tell.

There is no difference other than the color. People switch between the gold and blue when doing flushes so that they are able to tell when the new fluid is coming out of the caliper.

I just bought 4 quarts from Tirerack, they arrived at my home on Aug. 9th. I also use the "type 200 amber" as switching colors makes flushing easier. May be straight amber from now on

Confirmed:

That is right, because in the US brakefluid has to be yellow and not blue.

So many items are already sold as "For Off Highway Use Only", it makes we wonder why we can't have some blue brake fluid marked the same way?

KNSBrakes
What are the chances some of that accidently gets drop shipped to my address?

The memo says you can't "sell" it. I will be happy to help you free up some floor space and I'll even pay for the shipping. I'm just a nice guy like that.

On a more serious note, is the amber fluid actually the same? It seems to me that it has a slightly lower boiling point.

Just got a bunch from my supplier. He looked on his computer and found that "No pricing is available" So must be correct.

Guess we need to thank some moron who can't read labels on product packaging

This is so retarded......another example of government micro-managing our lives.

I'm sure many lives were at stake when they determined that blue brake fluid was dangerous..............
