Yeah they are pretty crazy guys, esp when they are often on relatively home built compered to say a Superbike.
An ex WRC driver (cant remember his name) did the course in a Subaru Impreza STI and got into a tank slapper at about 160mph. Said it was the most scary thing he had ever done!

Safety Car
I went a couple of times in the late 80's and early 90's. Never seen so many motorcycles in one place! You actually see much more of the races watching on TV as its difficult to move along the circuit once the races start, but deffinately worth goign to take in the atmosphere and the spectacle.
The Manx car rally is also another great event, unlike the UK, the IoM will close down public streets for motorsports events, so some spectacular stages.

I think the beginning of that video (which I love) is from Irish road racing, not Isle of Mann.

fyi they have no speed limits out in the country on that island; wish we had that out here...
