Folks,

I've searched and read every aftermarket steering wheel thread on CF and still have a question. I'm installing a Momo wheel with the Momo 2401 adapter (which is crap). For those who've done this before, do I have to remove the plastic sensors at the top of the column? It appears to have interference with those plastic pieces, which I believe to be the column lock sensor and something related to the airbag system. With those pieces in places, the wheel doesn't go on far enough. While it's tough to tell, some pictures I've seen appear that those aren't there, but I don't know if that's because they were removed or model year differences.

Are you taking about the big yellow round thing? If so, that's the clock spring. I've had to remove it on every one that I've done.

yeah check aftermarket steering wheels, just did that mod and yes its no longer required, tho I haven't figured out the airbag light still glows with resisters

I installed the momo hub and didnt have to remove my clock spring. I had to dremel something on it. but left it in.
