Our new uni ball joint bearings are done.
Series kits are also in sports cars always a compromise between handling and ride comfort. In the former, although greater attention than, say, is already in a limousine, but that is not enough for those who want to optimize their vehicle for the race track, by far.
In the area of suspension tuning only shock absorbers and springs in particular the suspension plays an important role in this optimization.
In addition to the wheel carriers for TIKT Corvette, with which a lower center of gravity is achieved with unchanged Radkinematik, the program has now been extended to also TIKT-Uniball joints on all suspension components.
This offer massive advantages over the series joints with rubber bushes.
The key word in this context is primarily precision in the transfer of drive, steering and braking forces between wheel suspension (with wheel and handlebars) and construction.
In the uni-ball joints, the relatively elastic rubber bushings are replaced by the Suspension made of metal bushings in connecting the individual suspension parts.
This lead to backlash and friction joints and thus a precise guidance of the wheels to build. In addition, the stiffness of the force-receiving components is substantially increased.
Through the interaction of these factors unwanted body movements of the vehicle in addition to the precise guidance of the wheels prevented and, if the driver better feedback about the current driving state of his car.
High-quality components and materials and the precise manufacturing processes ensure significantly improved durability against the wear-prone in use on the racetrack series joints.
In addition, the suspension can be adjusted more accurately and for a longer period of time in a vehicle equipped with uniball joints.
Thus leads to TIKT-uniball joints with a serious optimization of the vehicle for better lap times on the track no other way.

el es tu, thank you for your information. I know about TIKT, it looks like top quality product. But I never had experience with them and don't know people who already used them on the track.
It would be very interesting to know if somebody had experience with different products and had any issues. Manufactures and resellers always say that their product is the best, but it is not always true.
I'm interested about LG and what's the difference with Pfadt uniballs.

You could check with TIKT to see what bearings they use.
LG uses Aurora COM-T bearings, which are regular, plain jane teflon lined bearings.
I don't know the stresses that the bearings see, so hard to tell one way or another if a better bearing would yield longer service internals.
Install is another issue - DRM's price is installed. LG's end up around the same price installed. Installation can be a pain due to mfg tolerances, definitely worth it to have them installed.
Blackdog also sells a setup that is probably pretty good (going by the rest of their products), but last time I checked they didn't make bearings for the upper arms.
