Default FOR SALE : C6 race car - SCCA/NASA/SCCA Pro/NARRA

S O L D

A ton of time and money has been invested in this winning C6 Corvette Race car. It’s an easy car to drive quickly, is extremely forgiving and most importantly it has won many races. Log books for NASA ST2 and SCCA GT2, but can run in other class and groups as well. NARRA, SCCA World Challenge, SCCA Trans-Am 3.
For 2013 we took our 2012 NASA ST2 and overall Provisional Winning C6 race car and stripped it completely down to turn it into a SCCA GT2 car. Removed all GM electronics/wiring (131lbs) and the factory dashboard. We then painted the roll cage and sprayed the interior with Lizard Skin, which reduces the temps inside the car by 30 degrees.
We then added:
• Autronic SM4 stand alone engine management – no more GM computer and sensor issues!!
• Improved aero – APR carbon rear diffuser and side skirts
• Phadt competition sway bars
• Competition motor mounts.
• Full carbon dashboard - same piece used in BlackDog Racing’s C6 World Challenge cars
• Carbon switch plate with custom engraved labels.
• World Challenge/Grand-Am carbon headlight buckets with PIAA lights.
• And more which I will add as I remember.
The result was a C6 below 2900lbs with a dry sumped LS7 installed. Currently it has the LS6 with an accusump which is what is being sold with.
Details on the rest of the car:

• GM C6 ZO6 body work
• ACP carbon roof which included a and b pillars
• ACP world challenge hood
• Lexan front windshield and rear hatch
• APR splitter and rear wing with custom mounts
• Fully body wrap, which is now 4 seasons old. A bit beat up, but still looks good.
• Stance two way adjustable coil-overs.
• Pfadt solid bushings
• Dyno tech engineering stage III with 3.42 and 3.90 (currently installed) gearing cryo treated etc.. Just rebuilt prior to 2012 NASA Nationals
• Built Rockland standard transmission tr6060 – Bullet proof! - taken apart and inspected September 2013
• LS6 w/Accusump – 4 weekends on the LS6 detuned to 355rwp. 6 laps at 393rwhp
• 2 Weldon pumps for the transmission and differential coolers with fans located in rear bumper. NACA ducts in rear deck lid to get pushed through
• Racepack IQ3 – dash display, data logging – a ton of potential
• Full fire suppression system
• Sparco Steering wheel
• sparco race seat (worn on the top left bolster) w/ newer Scroth harness
• 15" front Brembo mono block calipers or new Alcon FRONT 0365X32 6 piston cast monoblock – currently installed.
• 14" mono block rear Brembo calipers
• Ultra light and thin battery (Braile) relocated inside the cabin of the car
• Custom intake
• American racing headers – freshly ceramic coated and polished.
• Exedy racing clutch with ls7 slave and master cylinder – 6 laps on the clutch
• Kartek heavy duty racing power steering cooler
• Turn one power steering pump
• SKF hub bearing
• Tow hook front and rear
• Setrap oil cooler for the engine
• Hardbar seat mounts
• 4 HRE custom 3 pc wheel built to run the Brembos
Previously in ST2 (2012 rules) we run at 3151 (driver weighs 240) and detuned to 360rwhp.
Lap times:
• ABCC South - 1:30.256
• Gingerman – long course 1:37.9
• Mid-Ohio 1:30.9 – at 2012 Nationals where we had the LS6 detuned to 355rwhp.
Besides finishing first in class and overall in at the 2012 NASA Championships, we have had multiple wins/podiums and class records in the 2012 and 2011 seasons.
You could go and win ST2 or ST3 with this car easily. Just run and adjust weight as needed. To be competitive in SCCA GT2, you would need the LS7 we are building (which will be for sale or installed if the car does not sell as it sits), an LS3 cam motor or build up this LS6 a bit. We would also entertain selling this a roller as we are also trying to sell the LS6.

I'll never be done (not smart enough to do that!), but I've been trying to take a little break for a while now. 3 kids (who are out of school in the summer), business to run (which is busiest in the summer|) and racing which happens in the summer has gotten to be too much. So not sure exactly what the next step is. Maybe some enduro's again. Maybe some STU races in the Subaru.

All this work and now it's back up for sale! Good luck - I followed your ST2 to GT2 conversion and it was pretty awesome.

Thanks, yes a ton of time and money into it. Costs went over budget by quite a bit and then blowing up the LS7 kind of killed us for now. So even if I had time to run more, we simply don't have the budget. Someone will get a ton of car here! This is not your average Corvette based race car...

I have some interest and on going discussions - even one offer made, but nothing I've taken. I'm trying to sell the LS6 simultaneously, so if I sell that first, we'll wait for the LS7 or sell it as a roller (which a couple people have asked about).

If the LS7 get done very soon, we will be putting it in, so it will come of the market for a while. Try to sell it once complete, if no go, I guess I'll just have to run it a couple of times next year! Winning the June Sprints would not suck!

All that said, it's a killer car as it sits now. With all the GM electronics gone and the LS6 it's a very reliable package.
