Default How does clutch pedal sw attach to firewall?

It looks like a rectangle black plastic and attaches to a metal bracket somehow. Can't tell how. I want to build it up so it's like a clutch pedal stop so my pedal travel doesn't so far.

I think it's part of the stuck down pedal problem that the pedal moves the slave shaft too much.

It's a wonder it hasn't gone to pieces already, I hammer it down pretty good on shifts.

If you can describe how it attaches, before I break something I would appreciate it.

I know a vendor sells one, but it looks over complicated.

Get a clutch pedal stop from ECS. It's easy to install and works great. If your clutch engages near the top of your travel? you can reduce your peddle travel. I can shoot some pictures if you need them. JD

If I cut the tab off the pedal to install, then later take the ecs off, will the pedal still depress the switch (without the tab)?

Mine would!! just take a flash light and look to see if it still hits the button. Or leave the clutch stop on and reset to old position most people will never see it. JD

Thanks, it looks like once the tab is cut, the rest of the pedal shaft would contact about 1/2 of the switch, I may give it a shot.

That's very kind, thanks.

Maybe take a week or so to get here.

I'll shoot a vid of the install.
