Default Any Republic Wireless Moto x users (cell phone)

I ordered one of these and (if I keep it - 30 day trial) want to run it to overlay some data on my go pro video, not the hard core data analysis stuff, just mph, rpm, simple stuff.

Should have by fri.

It's android based. If you have one and found a mount you like, maybe a case, sync software & app that collects the data please post up. I recall I need to upgrade the gps so if you have done that, what did you use?

Thanks!

I have a MotoX but haven't been to the track since I bought it. I've had Android phones for a few years and used Trackmaster. However, Harry's Laptimer just released a version for Android so I will be buying that once the full version comes out (scheduled for mid-spring). Here's the Rookie (entry level) version on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...arrys.laptimer

As for an external GPS, I use the Qstarz 818XT and it's been prefectly reliable. I expect it to work with Harry's as well as it did with TM. http://amzn.com/B003YCZINA

For a mount, I got this iottie one (http://amzn.com/B007FHX9OK) and it's been rock solid. It's short though so make sure that you can reach it when you're belted in.

Great, now we are cooking. The GPS is a pricy bit, no doubt your satisfaction with it.

Anyone have luck with a less pricy gps?
