Thanks Randy. I was mainly looking for what the studs look like sticking out of the wheel.

I just jumped over from the Ford camp, and everyone runs 3" ARP's and doesn't say anything about how far they stick out. In fact, I always thought they looked tough. But I'm new to the open track Corvette game (just picked up a bone stock 01Z) and I want to pick the right studs...

Tempted to pick up the GMPP studs because I like the little snub part at the end of the stud. Makes it easier to put the wheel on IMO.

The one thing to watch out for is the O.D on the stud to I.D hole interference. They can be a bit too loose. If they go in super loose it' a good idea to tack them in (low heat with a tig). Or you can peen the stud or hole. You will notice them going in too easy, pound them back out or finish installing a tack those babies in.

There is a video on the install of any stud!

Those are the DRM race studs in the pictures. There is a few rare cases for needing anything different.

I have the GMPP studs and they are expensive and too long. Go with DRM.

I have the DRM "1/2 in longer" studs all around. If you don't need spacers, on a C5 they are the perfect length - 4 or 5 threads showing when torqued.

You will be able to get them from us very quickly! Mid this week I should have them up on our website. For some reason we never sold them before.

how easy is it to change wheels studs on a C6 Z06? Do you have to take the hubs out or is there enough space to hammer the studs out with the hub on the car?

With stocks studs you can swap the fronts with the hub on the car. On the rear the parking brake backing plate is in the way. If you have longer studs you have to pull the hubs on both ends. Good thing the ARPs are darned near indestructible. Personally I run Summit racing open ended lugs. They're private labeled Gorilla lugs... exact same part, for very cheap.

ok thanks! I've got ARP studs sitting around in my garage but haven't installed them because of the hub work... I guess I'll install them next season. for this season stock studs will have to do.

Just ran across this thread. Lemme show you the honker studs Tommy Morrison ran on his later C4 race cars. I've got a bunch of spares.
