Default TCE/Wilwood new Front & Rear W6A/W4A Caliper Kits!

As the originator of the C6 (C5) Front Caliper Kit for the 14" stock rotor, TCE is at it again! Wilwood took over production of this kits and spec'd it for both the 13.4 and 14" front rotor. Not a bad idea.

Now I'm back and going one step farther: A matching W4A rear Caliper Kit.

Take this:

+ this:

CENTRIC 121.62102

ADD a bit of this:

+ some of this:

CENTRIC 121.62086

And you have one helluva four wheel brake system. These are FRONT rotors on all fours. 14" front and 13.4" rear. Why? Because it offers not only a very respectable 64/36 bias set up.... but full 1.25" wide rear discs for heat management.

Yes these are currently for track guys as you will lose your parking brake. (that's going to be corrected shortly with an alternative set up)

Yes you have to buy rotors (brand of choice) to fill the order.

But yes you can a have this four wheel set up from TCE for only $1819. That's less than the cost of many front only kits!

There's no 'rocket science' here. This is how it's done:

The same bracket is used on the rear spindle with the proper W4A caliper and cross fit with the 13.4 front rotor. I know many of you have experimented with "fronts on rear" before but we all know it's simply too much rear brake bias and poor pedal feel. This time we've hit the sweet spot and done it cost effectively giving you the same pad fit options on both ends, wide vented rotors, easy load calipers and great looks. Both kits can be had with Wilwood therm-lock pistons for the most demanding of use as well as ordered (call or email) with optional track only pads substituting for the BP10 street pad supplied.

Been looking for an affordable four wheel kit? You may have just found it!

How about the option to run C6 Z06 rear rotors (~13.4") keeping the parking brake and replacing caliper/bracket with W4A just like front kit with factory rotors?

I'm on track with you. Well aware of that option, started with the non parking brake for those who want the wider rotor for the track.

What you're talking about here is on the C6 page now also. I just have not finalized all of it.

I haven't forgot about you Todd, i still plan to get a wilwood setup from you. This sounds like a great option. I'm doing w6a fronts for sure, still undecided on rear.

Obviously I'm happy to help with any of the options.

This new one is something we worked on here in AZ a bit at a shop around the corner. We were pretty certain it would work out as it did but needed to check.

For those running or desiring to run stock (ie. low cost replacement) 'rings' this is probably as good as it gets. You can pick your choice of vendor for rotors (I'd suggest Ken at KNS) and get them plain, slotted, drilled...whatever floats your boat.

The front on rear rotor in this case addresses the light weight nature of the stock rear rotor. Larger and wider rotors mean lower operating temps, lower pad wear rates, longer replacement rotor intervals and lower caliper/fluid temps. Other than the weight gains I can't make much argument against this.

For the most demanding owner both of these can be had with Thermlock pistons and in Quicksilver- nickel plate finish!

Did you know there is a new Forged Super Lite Six on the horizon soon?

Taking design ques from the FNSL6 that's been out for some time now the FSL6 is a wider version taking into account the need for the full 7420 (20mm) pads.

Currently available in Quicksilver Nickel plate finish and black anodized for the more track oriented buyers. Also available; thermlock insulated pistons. Note the universal fit- bleeders top and bottom for front or rear spindle mount as well as NO cross over tubes! That means less exposure to potential damage as well as lower final costs- production, labor and inventory. Saving you some coin.

Me thinks you'll see some of those in use fairly soon. (I'll let them tell you more)

TCE/Wilwood Caliper Kits- UPDATED listings

The Caliper Kits listings have been updated to now include both the W6A/W4A non parking brake combos and also the W6A/FNSL4 set with parking brake.

The latter kit using the Z06 13.4" rear rotor with internal parking brake drum. This should help those who are after both affordable Caliper Kit options as well as a need for State Inspection needs.

With prices starting at just north of $1700 (shipped) they should be a real consideration for those of you who want to keep replacement rotor costs down by way of oe parts!

Do I offer the kits "single axle" and not just in 4X form??

Been asked that a couple of times now. The answer is; of course!

You'll find the new FNSL4 rear kits listed totally by themselves now. Soon you'll see the W4A rear kits singular too. The only thing missing in single form is the W6A front kit. It will be there with a 'call for price' option however and not a Buy It Now feature. Be worth asking tho as it's pretty close to the FNSL4 kit price I think.

Yes you could run the W4A rear Caliper Kit with what you have now. Fit to either the 13.4 or 14" front rotor. Of course it will become a non parking brake set up but I don't think that's an issue for you. By all means let me know.

With track days on the horizon now's the time to explore all your brake kit options!

These Wilwood Caliper Kits offer the value many folks are looking for when it comes to affordable, disposable rotors. No $250ea replacement rings and time spent on assembly. (oh we have those too and yes there are some benefits) For many enthusiasts the el cheapo blanks from Autozone are the real deal tho.

And for the dual purpose owner the W6A front / FNSL4 rear Caliper Kits offer stunning looks, function and value at only $1719 to the door. That's matching front and rear calipers, brackets, hardware, hoses and street pads. Or looking at it another way: $850 per axle!

Bring your favorite brand of rotors: 13.4 or 14" fronts and 13.4" Z06 rears- these kits don't come with rotors. And this combo does retain the parking brake feature a number of you have asked about!

The FNSL4 kit with the parking brake feature will fit with ease.

Yes it's a parking brake set up- you supply the 13.4" rear Z06 rotor so you can be certain of it.

The nickel/t-lock set is listed right on the page's drop down menu for $1259.

Winning takes the right combo of parts and effort.

I have the parts; do you have the effort?
