Default C1265 - Is my EBCM done for?

All,

While getting my car ready for next weekends track outing, my ABS/TCS lights came on and a C1265 code was reported. Looking through the FSM and on the internet, it appears that there is an internal error in my EBCM.

When I clear the code, it will sometimes take a few seconds for it to reappear. If I stab the brakes real quick during this interval the ABS will function along with the normal "ABS active."

Is there anything I can check/fix, or do I just need a replacement unit.

What causes this issue?

I have already check the power supply and 2 ground wires on the connector and they all seem fine.

Car is an 02 Z06.

Had the same problem two years ago. Turned out to be a cracked negative battery terminal. Check ALL grounds again.

Thanks for the feedback, I just checked the 2 grounds on the EBCM connector again. Both read 0.0-0.1 ohms to any ground point on the car (battery, G103, G108, engine block) with a strong signal. Both the always hot and ignition power supply terminals on the EBCM also read full battery voltage.

If there is a bad ground somewhere, it is well hidden.

I probably should have mentioned it in my first post, but the first time that it had issues codes 1248/1255/1265 were displayed. After clearing, 1265 was the first to pop back up.

FYI for future searchers, it ended up being the EBCM. Swapped it out with another unit and everything works again.
