Default Driving Corvette Daytona Prototype

Day started frustrating w trans gears installed improperly. Finally gears fixed at 2pm. My Pro driver coach took it out late but passed entire field
2 laps later an exhaust pipe fell off

Finally got car sorted by 4pm & he went out again in enduro race. He did a few laps then brought car in for me. So my 1st drive in this monster is in an enduro race, not ideal. Started out slowly & gained speed till I was seeing 160+ down front straight & nipping at the tail of the pack.

Slow but good start.

Driving this thing for 1st time is like 1st time you ski down a double black diamond run

Congrats.

I drove an early Crawford DP and would love to drive a newer one.

There's got to be a world of difference between the two.

Nice work! This is what I need to beat a certain LMS Audi R8 that thinks it belongs in ST1

Not to disrespect you, but earlier this month I was seeing at least 160 into the braking zones for tri oval and the bus stop in my basically stock 2005 C6.

Gorgeous car!!!

Gorgeous car!!!
I know I had my Ford GT doing 190 here 2 years ago

I'm working up to it, I've been short shifting it around 6000 rpm till I'm more confident

Have more confidence in car now than yesterday

Losing time in infield cus trusting the downforce is a leap of faith but I'm getting there

Tomorrow is last day here so hope to unleash her a bit more

Next stop Homestead end of Nov w DP & 67

It didn't really hit me till I strapped in at pits

That's when I was face to face w the Tiger

Luckily it's forgiving for such a ferocious beast & I haven't pissed it off yet
