Based on my limited research and googling... they're not real Sparcos. They're replica seats.

They are not listed as replicas on the website but Ill call in the morning.
If they are I'm out. I thought they could be an old version that was expired or discontinued. I guess if it seems too good to be true....

Unlikely they'd be selling a replica as real. Even the seats on Ebay that are replicas state that.

interested to hear what you find out, if they're real thats a heck of a deal! after checking the website sparco now has the Evo I Evo II and Evo III (with the evo II being the new version of the Evo 2 plus) so the nomenclature makes me think these are just old versions that breathless is trying to clearance out!

I called breathless and they said they get them from racers occasionally and they aren't sure so they refunded me because I'm not interested in replicas. They were easy to deal with and very up front.

They call them grey market seats, they are made in Taiwan where there's no real copyright laws. They are all over ebay (as well as Bride and Recaro copies)

If there's a chance they are real, you should have let the order be fulfilled and then just filed a chargeback if the seats were fake and they refused to pay to have them returned.

I'm not looking for anything free or to give anyone a hard time. I just want some seats that wont break in a hard corner....because I'm so fast

It wasn't about getting anything free. If they were real, keep them and be happy. If they were fake, force them to take them back. They are selling them as real/no disclosure of replica, so if that's what the seats turned out to be, they should eat the cost of that return. All I was saying is that there was no risk to you of allowing the order to complete.

I'm not well versed in the history of Sparco seats. They could be old seats that aren't eligible for competition anymore that are coming back and could still be used for HPDE or something where a current FIA seat isn't required. Or they could be seats that someone is selling to them that they're buying from ebay. Really no telling.

So I'm back to Marrad LX1's

Typically car parts are a very get what you pay for thing, especially on well known, name brand things. $400 Evo2's immediately raised a red flag to me. I've had seat failures, it's how I learned to not skimp on them. The one I had break did so under braking for a corner on a track (a fast track), I shudder to think what could have happened if I had actually hit something.
