Default Clutch disc stuck after track day?

Stock C5 Z06

Did my lest session, cool down and pulled it straight on the trailer, strapped it down and put it in gear, trailered it home.

Got home, go to start the car to unload and it did a funny noise. Was fine I backed it in the shop, pulled down the door and locked it up.

Come out today to turn the car around in the shop, put it in gear and its making weird noises, by the time I got it in the shop I couldn't get it in gear. Put it in gear and start the car it tried to move forward with the clutch down. Clutch pedal was great as it always is. So I thought the clutch came unwound.

Called a buddy to come listen while it was on the rack. With the clutch in the rear wheels are still turning like the clutch is out. So I step on the brake and kill the engine with the clutch out.

All is fine now, went and drove the living **** out of it, powershifted....all is fine.

Just a thought here. I don't trailer my car, but I have been told by a few experienced friends that it is bad to have a car in gear while strapped down. Apparently putting it in neutral before tightening down the straps and leaving it in neutral will prevent tension on the drive train that could potentially create issues with the transmission and clutch.

Boiled clutch fluid. Bleed the clutch line and I bet it comes back.

It will come out tomorrow. Drove it all day today, did fine.

Tonight backing out of the shop it did it again. Clutch is on the seat of the truck, LS6 replacement.

I had intermittent clutch problems. One day the clutch would not release and the next day it was fine. It turned out to be broken tabs on the pressure plate.

Too late to the thread but hope you went back with a pilot bushing instead of a bearing. Seen too many pilot bearing failures in all different types of vehicles over the years. My C5Z actually broke the guide collar off the throwout bearing because the pilot bearing disintegrated. Never seen a worn out pilot bushing or at least one that wouldn't last the life of the other clutch components.

Too late, needle bearing is back in.

The old one, the needle bearings were pulverized into dust.

If anyone does this job, make sure you run a magnet up in the pilot bearing hole to pull out all the pulverized metal.
