Default Wheel cleaner review, and NOT wrong forum.

My TSW Nurburgring wheel was covered in Ferodo DS2500 brake dust from some hard laps of several tracks and 2000 street miles during 1 lap and a few weeks of sitting.

I got around to cleaning it the other day with Adam's "deep wheel cleaner" and I was impressed! It starting turning purple and lifting all the caked on brake dust off. Took a rag and a bucket of water and got the rest off with very little elbow grease.

So those of you who like to have clean wheels when not on the track, this by far has been the best product I have used

It would have been nice to see the before and after. I used the sonex wheel cleaner on my s2000. Worked real good but smelled like your mother getting a perm...

I use the ds2500 pads alsobso I know what it built up looks like.

It is my understanding that some wheel cleaners can attack the protective coating on the fiberglass suspension spring and lead to delamination. Be careful of which product you use.

IRON-X is some incredible stuff. A buddy had a set of C5 Z06 wheels that had been tracked, metal was imbedded in the corners of the spokes.

IRON-X took it out, if you have some stubborn stuff, buy the paste.

That is almost exactly how adam's looked and worked

Looks as if we have at least 3 good options

Sonax is another great one. Sprays on green, turns purple as it works. I get it from autogeek.net. It has not harmed the paint on my wheels at all. I also use ferodo 2500's. Sonax lits that really well.

Late bump, but washed car today, this is a before, during, after. Did 600 street miles and 1 day DE at roebling. I did use a brush, but it was about 60 sec of light scrubing.
