A GREAT race weekend. Met a lot of cool interesting people...........and raced with them.
We qualified 28th for the ProAm and finished 30th right ahead of Lynn St James in a Cobra. We broke a transmission mount and had some overheating issues, so we did not run the Group 6.1 feature race just 20 minutes later, although we were qualified 33rd in a field of 41.
Since we did not get to run our feature race, we fixed our problems and ran the 90 minute enduro instead. We were not qualified, so we started last (34th) and ran as high as 8th overall before finishing 28th overall and 2nd in B Production. During the enduro, we ran 2 seconds a lap quicker than our qualifying time for the Group 6.1 feature race. Oh, and the enduro was won by Travis Engen, driving the Audi R8 Prototype which won LeMans in 2005. The enduro also included open wheelers like 3.5L BOSS cars (Lynn St James) so I did not feel too disappointed by our finishing position.
