How would the black finish hold up with frequent use of an impact?

You're making assumptions. You don't know what these cost us, the material used, or how much we've scrutinized them before putting them to market. They've passed our muster.
How do you know your current lug nuts are not made in China?
Thank you.

I don't want to blow up your spot - sorry about that. I own a CNC machine shop and have done lots of work with Chinese parts and Chinese material. Best of luck.

I don't necessarily disparage every part made in China, just want to know what I am putting on my car.
I have been buying the cheap steel ones & tossing them every year replacing with new cheap steel ones.
ARP studs seem to last many seasons and I an VERY CAREFUL how they (nuts) go off/on.
So if I spring for these will they go for 2 - 3 years?
If, yes, then it could make sense for me.
Any testing?
My own personal testing on the cheap steel ones is 2 years max. This is assuming you change your wheels a lot, racer, not the guy who keeps the same wheels on his car until his tires wear out.
So testing as to durability, not how strong a brand new one is "one time"?
BTW Men's Health just published a small article listing Corvette (and F150) as two of the top 4 vehicles with the most USA made parts content.
