Let's see your custom helmet decals/designs
Thinking of adding some pizzaz to my helmet and wanted to see some of your designs or decals that you've done for some inspiration. First thing came to mind was keeping it simple and replicate the one Lewis Hamilton has.

Anybody know of a good how to on painting a helmet? Or any advice? I'm getting a new helmet and want to do something cool with it. I found a decal kit, but will need to change the base color of the helmet before puting on decals. Or I may paint the whole design, depending on how froggy I feel when I get started. I just don't want to do anything that could cause any damage to it.

I know this is an OOOOOLD thread. But would be cool to see some other helmet bling that you guys have done.
I'm putting a few things on mine and was searching for ideas and locations on the helmet of what to put where. Thats how I found this thread...google search for helmet decals.
So, lets whatchu got.

This is my new helmet - I purchased a STILO ST5 in 2016 when the previous one pictured above aged out. Has some great custom airbrushing done by a local guy I work with.

THAT...is INSANE. Amazing work. Is there such thing as helmet envy? LOL.
Here I was thinking I was being all cool n ****...putting some "flare" on mine.
I have a couple other stickers enroute...but will post pics of what I have so far later today.

I painted my Bell GP3 Carbon helmet to be similar to my Grandpa's helmet from the 70's-80's. I also use the Gold tinted visor from Bell for added flare.

love my tinted visor - I always run helmet shield down for safety - no sunglasses. If it is super cloudy and dim out, then it is too dark and I switch to a non-mirrored amber visor.

This is my dads helmet I wrapped for him last year. It’s held up pretty good
here’s my helmet I re-wrapped this year because I liked my dads and wanted something similar but different

I absolutely love the tinted visor! It drastically reduces glare. I can see other cars and corner station flags much more clearly in bright sun. If its cloudy or dark I just swap back to the factory clear lens.

I run tinted visors even in the rain and clouds. I also have dark window tint on all my cars. Just my preference. Only time I change it is for night races obviously
