Default Made the change to a GTA Car

OK!! I give up! I have made the change to a GTA car. Should be a fun new experience. The car looks pretty simple and straight forward. Just got the car, so I can't tell you much yet. Will keep you updated after I get it on track. JD

Looks very clean, any idea of it's history ? Should be a fast, safe and reliable track day car once you get your sorting done. Expendables, especially tires will be less than a Vette too. Enjoy !

Jim, the owner of 10/10ths, Bill, is running one as well as three or four others that are regulars to his events. They seem to like them very well. They are fast on the road course! Give him a shout if you have questions. They have been running them for a few years and really have had a good education with them. I am sort of entertaining the idea myself.

It is set up for Road Courses. It has a Small block Chevy putting out 525HP and 487LBS/ft torque at the crank. JD

Artie, I have talked to Bill before buying the car. Are you going to be at the NCM event this Thur-Fri. ? If so, see you there. I won't be running the car yet, but am coming to help out. JD

Hi Bob, I do plan 0n being at Daytona, I was hoping to see you this Thur and Fri. at NCM??
The car weighs 2600lbs with a 250lbs driver according to the scales sheets I got with the car. I have not actually scaled it my self yet. I still have some things that I want to do to the car before I track it. What is really amazing is that it is lower to the top of the roof than my C6-Z06 vet! and wider wheel width and 1.5 ft. longer overall. JD

Nice looking car. I did notice something you may want to look into though. There is no shield shown in front of all the master cylinders to protect them from debris. I know my buddies ASA car has a full metal shroud protecting that area.

What a small world. I actually put a deposit on that car and drove out to AZ to pick it up in June. Just as I was about to load it on the trailer I decided to start measuring things and ended up passing on the purchase and getting my deposit back. It's a super nice car, but wasn't for me. The rear clip is meant for an offset chassis and is squared up by using an upper shock mount that sticks way out. The front control arms are not equal and the right side lower pickup point up front has two holes. The correct one needs to be used for road racing. The spare arms it came with will allow you to square up the front geometrically, but the tires may not be centered in the body (not a big deal). The rear axles and tubes are not equal either (those are bolt on and can easily be corrected. Not to mention the body is offset. Don't be alarmed. It's a great car for what you are doing and well built. The owner in AZ that you bought it from I really don't think knew about what I just mentioned. He seemed honest when I was there.
