Default Who makes best 2 piece rotors in 325 size?

Yes, I am cheap. I want a good performing brake system that fits a C5Z 17" front wheel without necessarily going to a 4 pot caliper. I always compete on 18" rims but don't want to pitch my pristine 17" rims for street use and have been ok with stock calipers (no significant spread) as long as the I keep the cooling ducts in good shape and a good stock of pads. The obvious issue is that I keep cracking rotors and I certainly understand the value of having a good (read floating type) 2 piece rotor.

There seem to be a number of manufacturers of 2 piece rotors, AP racing, DBA, Colman, Brembo and Wilwood and possibly more.

What are the pros and cons of each and are they all available in 325 mm size?

I used stop teck aero rotors they worked well
Got them at Zeckhenhausen racing in NJ.
mine were special with no slots or holes.
I had to call and then they had to Call Stopteck to get them

Are these primarily track rotors? I have started producing some two piece assemblies that use DBA5000 rotors with our own hats. I have a set on my car currently that have about 4 track days on them (for testing purposes). They are a fixed-hat design and are not full floating. Anyway, if you can put them through their paces, I'd be willing to give them to you and welcome your feedback after you've put them through their paces. Lemme know if you're interested.

The fixed are cheaper than the floating but I have had better luck with the floating. I have used the AP T1 12.8" floating and now have the wilwood 12.88 floating 2pc. I like the wilwood floating better so far. They are a good spec 37 rotor that holds up well. The size allows you to use the 17" wheel when desired. I can provide numbers for the wilwood 2pc. floating if you want.

I would have thought if you are going to a 2 piece rotor, it is worthwhile going to a floating design.

Which manufacturers use floating vs fixed 2 piece rotors?

I was very surprised in testing my own two piece designs how well the fixed rotors worked. Every other solid rotor I've used gets "lumpy" after the first track day. But as I said I've had these on about 6 track days now (used them yesterday at Palmer as well) and there is not a hint of vibration in the rotors and they look brand new. I also have full floating rotors that I'm putting on the car to test next time out, but the extra machining steps and hardware will make them less economical than the fixed design. For a casual HPDE guy, the fixed design might be worth saving a few bucks.
