For the life of me I am unable to feel confident exactly what wheel and tire combo will work best for my 2009 supercharged C6 coupe for the track. I hear anywhere from 265-305 on 18" wheels up to 10.5" wide rims for front and up to 325 on 19" on rear with 11" rims. i am looking for a set of wheels to put some extra rubber on for hard track use without fender mods. Can someone give me exact numbers that will look badass but function safely when i hit turn 1 at Pocono at 140mph, or hit 175mph on the front straight or push the limits of the car on a road course? For my 2006 Base Coupe I run 275/35 and 305/35 Nitto NT01s on CCW 18x10 (+57mm offset) and 18x11 (+83mm offset) wheels with no rubbing. For the track I run 295/30 and 315/30 Hoosier Rs on the same wheels -- the fronts will rub the inside sidewall at full lock. That's about as much tire as I can fit without sticking out past the fenders.
