Default MTI coilover ?'s

Hi, I need some advise on what I can do to revise my MTI bilstein ASN bodied coilover to a more compliant street setup. I'm looking for something a notch down on the rough ride.

I am not sure what valving is in these but there is an engraved number in them so maybe that can help identify. The spings are 700# front and back with stock C5Z sways. Car is a full interior with the LSX block so its got a bit more weight on the nose.

From what I have read, it seems the 700# springs are on high side. My question is can I use lower rate springs, maybe 650#f 575#r without revalving? I would be willing to use stiffer sways if I can lower the rates and get a smoother ride.

Anyone? I know it's sunday or else I would call MTI. Hoping to just be able to use new springs because that's a lower cost option.

Are they adjustable? Try turning the ***** to the softer side. Spring wise, it doesn't hurt, but the rebound and compression are what your feeling more than the spring rate.

No they are non adjustable standard ASN bilstein shocks with machined adapters to mount to the C5, C6.

So it sounds like the valving needs to be changed. Looking at bilsteins rate curves, I may not even have the right valve if they were adjustable. It only adjusts within a small window of the valve that's selected.

I have a pair of 600# hyperco springs off the LG G2 coilovers that I am looking to sell if you want springs, say $50 plus shipping. I can get you dimensions if you are interested.

Ok great! Please send length, ID, OD when you can. Were these on the rears? What rates are you using now?

Length = 8"
ID = 2.25"
OD = 3.25"

Yes, these were on the rears.

I wanted a more firm ride so I am running 800f/700r.

I can send you pics if you want, please send me your email address.

Please let me know if you got the pics.

I did not re-valve, just swapped the springs.

I have the MTI coil overs that I got set up for autox from them, they came with 400# springs and are fine on the street and the car is great for autox. I dont know how they changed the valving, but it works
